Step 1

for this guide, we will select a Sweden-based server.
Step 2
Download and install the latest version of OpenVPN Connect for MacOS here: https://openvpn.net/downloads/openvpn-connect-v3-macos.dmg

Step 3
Proceed to Launchpad and then select OpenVPN Connect.
Step 4
Click Upload File button.
Step 5
Select the configuration file that you have downloaded and then click Open.
Step 6
Confirm the Import process.
Step 7
Click Connect button.
Step 8
Enter the following settings:
Username: (your PrivateVPN registered email address)
Password: (your password)
Click Enter button.
Step 9
Click Add Certificate.
Step 10
Re-enter your Username and Password.
Untick Require External Certificate.
Click Save Changes.
Step 11
Retry to Connect.
Connection Success!
