Step 1
Download your preferred VPN location on this link: https://help.privatevpn.com/en/articles/302433-openvpn-configuration-files-udp-1194
for this guide, we will select a Sweden-based server.
Step 2
Download and install the latest version of OpenVPN Connect for Windows here: https://openvpn.net/downloads/openvpn-connect-v3-windows.msi
*the program will automatically start after installation.
Step 3
Click Upload File button.
Step 4
Select the configuration file that you have downloaded and then click Open.
Step 5
Confirm the Import process.
Step 6
Click Connect button.
Step 7
Enter the following settings:
Username: (your PrivateVPN registered email address)
Password: (your password)
Click Enter button.
Step 8
Click Add Certificate.
Step 9
Re-enter your Username and Password.
Untick Require External Certificate.
Click Save Changes.
Step 10
Retry to Connect.
Connection Success!
